Alpinists, andinist and nature lovers come to the most beautiful mountains on this eventful journey Bolivia at their own expense. It starts with a trip to Lake Titicaca, 3,800 meters high. Here we enjoy relaxing days with fantastic views of the Cordillera Real with its snowy six-thousanders. We then drive via the world-famous Altiplano to the banks of the Salar de Uyuni. With more than 10,000 square kilometers, the largest salt lake on earth offers another and unforgettable natural spectacle. The adaptation to the unfamiliar altitude takes place “by the way” and we can then tackle our mountain goals well prepared. Mountain tours to the technically easy volcanoes Acotango and Chachacomani form the beginning. On the Acontango, 6,056 m, snowfields and so-called penitentiary ice, which is spectacular to look at, can make the ascent more difficult, however, it remains one of the easiest six-thousanders in the world. The views from the top of Illimani in Chile’s Lauca National Park and Sajama are simply breathtaking. let us be enchanted by the country, people and nature of Bolivia – right in the heart of South America.
