The Condoriri massif located at the center of the Real mountain range, is a truly amazing and adventurous place complete some ascents surrounded by wonderful landscapes. The Pequeño Alpamayo will be the first summit in the Condoriri Massif before attack The Western Mountains Range.
The Sajama national park is known for its wide plateau area, high andean lagoons and amazing volcanic mountains like the Pomerape and Acotango (Payachatas), Acotango and snowed Sajama, the highest mountain in Bolivia.
These ascents are destined to all the people with good physical condition who wish to live a first experience in volcanic mountains without greater technical difficulty.

Travel Program
Day 1: Arrival At La Paz / Free Day (3600 M.A.S.L.)
Welcoming at La Paz airport and commuting to the hotel. Free time for the rest of the day.
Day 2: City Tour (3600 M.A.S.L.)
Meeting with your tour guide at the hotel reception.
The day will be dedicated to visiting La Paz. You will discover the main sites of the city: barrio colonial (colonial neighborhood), mercado de las brujas (Witch market), calle Jaén (Jaén Street), plaza Murillo. You will be able to enjoy the colorful markets of La Paz and its typical atmosphere (mercado Rodriguez…).
You can also discover the city from above thanks to the funicular railway of La Paz known as the highest funicular in the world. From there, you will benefit from a spectacular view of La Paz.
Return to the hotel by the end of the afternoon.
Day 3: La Paz – Tiwanaku – Copacabana (3840 M.A.S.L.)
Leaving the hotel with your guide to go to the archaeological site of Tiwanaku. You will discover this archaeological site linked to the tiwanakota culture with its ruins and museum.
After lunch, we’ll travel along the edge of the Titicaca Lake towards Copacabana, a village located on the shores of the lake. Visit of the main sites of the village and ascent to the calvary where you will enjoy a sunset on the lake.

Day 4: Copacabana – Trek On The Island Of The Sun – Yumani (3925 M.A.S.L.)
Leaving the hotel for the Copacabana harbor where our boat will be waiting for us. We’ll sail to the village of Ch´allapampa located in the northern part of the Sun Island. From then on, we’ll start our hike by following an old Inca trail towards the ruins of Chinkana. We’ll continue towards the summit which offers a spectacular outlook on the Illampu and Ancohuma mountain range. In the afternoon, we’ll arrive at the village of Yumani located in the southern part of the island.

Day 5: Yumani – Copacabana – Rinconada – Chiarkhota Lagoon (4670 M.A.S.L.)
Leaving the hotel and walking to the ruins of Pilkokaina. Return by boat to Copacabana.

Arriving at la Rinconada, an hour long hike will take us to the Chiarkhota lagoon where we’ll set our base camp.

Day 6: Chiarkota – Austria Peak (5350 M.A.S.L.) – Chiarkhota (4670 M.A.S.L.)
Hike to the Austria Peak, viewpoint from where we’ll enjoy nice view on the summits of Cordillera Real.
Camping night.
Day 7: Chiarkota Lagoon – Tarija Peak (5300 M.A.S.L.) – Pequeño Alpamayo Summit (5430 M.A.S.L.) – Chiarkota Lagoon – La Paz (3600 M.A.S.L.)
Leaving at 03:00 am.
Hike to the end of the valley to reach the foot of the glacier located at 4805 m alt.
Ascent to the Pico Tarija located at 5320 m alt.
Descent to a rocky section before climbing the final slope for the “Pequeño Alpamayo” (50/55º).
Return to base camp following the same trail and we’ ll hike until “La Rinconada” where our vehicle will take us back to La Paz.
Day 8: La Paz / Free Day (3600 M.A.S.L.)
Resting day in La Paz.
Day 9: La Paz – Sajama Village (4200 M.A.S.L.)
Departure from the hotel to cross the Altiplano (the high plateau) early in the morning. On our way we will make a stop in Curahuara de Carangas village, where we will visit the colonial church known as “Capilla Dieciséis del Altiplano” (Chapell sixteen of the high plateau). We will arrive at Sajama village around the afternoon.

Day 10: Sajama Village – Pomerape High Camp (5300 M.A.S.L.)
After having our breakfast, we will approach our base camp by car. Meeting with our team of shepards and hiking towards high ground where we will set up our camp.

Day 11: Pomerape High Camp – Pomerape Summit (6280 M.A.S.L.) – Sajama Village (4200 M.A.S.L.)
The climb from the base is done through a volcanic terrain which will not be hard technically speaking. We will go through plumbed slopes and volcanic ridges. We will enjoy of a magnificent sunrise and go down through the same way to the base camp where the car will be waiting for us to go back to the Sajama village, where we will spend the night.

Day 12: Break – Visit To The Geysers And Termal Waters (4200 M.A.S.L.) – Sajama Village (4200 M.A.S.L.)
In the morning we will visit the geyser with its hot bubbles where we might even be able to cook some eggs. Afterwards, we will enjoy of a warms bath in the thermal waters foothills Sajama volcano.

Day 13: Sajama Village – Parinacota Summit (6332 M.A.S.L.) – Sajama Village (4200 M.A.S.L.)
We will leave Sajama village early in the morning to go to Parinacota’s high ground. The climb will begin from the gap that divides the Payachatas. We will gain height through a zig-zag road. The mountain arises as a continuous slope until the summit. The descent will be through the same way or a more direct road (depending on the conditions) to the base camp where the car will be waiting for us to go back to Sajama village.

Day 14: Day Off (4200 M.A.S.L.)
This well-deserved break day will allow you to walk through the park and relax before the next goal.

Day 15: Sajama Village – Sajama Base Camp (4700 M.A.S.L.)
After having breakfast we will start a trek with our muleteer team to our base camp, in which we will appreciate the diverse flora of the place. Set up of our camp and break.
Camping night.
Day 16: Base Camp – Sajama High Camp (5700 M.A.S.L.)
At the next morning we will start the climb to the high ground with the help of shepards. After going through the outer side of the mountain, we will take a northwest ridge. A last corridor will take us to our high ground camp.
Camping night.
Day 17: High Camp – Sajama Summit (6542 M.A.S.L.) – Base Camp (4700 M.A.S.L.)
In our effort to go to the summit we will start the climb at 2:00 am. The first part is “inconsistent and loose”. After that, we will take a stoned ridge until reaching the snow. Depending on the weather, the glacier might have different size penitents. After going through these difficulties we will arrive to a flat and immense Summit, a crater filled with snow and ice. Descent through the same way to the base camp.

Day 18: Base Camp – Thermal Waters – La Paz (3600 M.A.S.L.)
We will go down from the base camp to the thermal waters to enjoy a well-deserved bath in them. Return to La Paz city in a private vehicle.
Day 19: La Paz / Free Day (3600 M.A.S.L.)
Resting day in La Paz.
Day 20: Airport Transfer / International Flight
Transfer from hotel to the airport (3 hours before our international flight).
