- Lima – Ica – Puerto…
Peru is the country that can completely satisfy all human tastes, preferences and energy! The people there are extremely earthy, humble and kind – a mentality too close to the senses of much of humanity. It is unique to Peru – Nature, mysticism and unparalleled world cultural and historical heritage!
Lima is the capital: of Peru located on the arid Pacific coast of the country. Although its colonial center is preserved, it is an overflowing metropolis and one of the largest cities in South America. The Larco Museum houses a collection of pre-Columbian art and the Museum of the Nation traces the history of the ancient civilizations of Peru. The Plaza de Armas and the 16th century cathedral are the core of the old center of Lima.
From the Pacific to the Amazon and across the highlands to the Andes
- The lines of Nazca and the coastal desert
- Amazon with rich fauna and flora
- Mystic Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley of the Incas
- Lake Titicaca, Copacabana and the sun island
Cusco is a city in the Peruvian: Andes that was the capital of the Inca Empire and is known for its archaeological remains and Spanish colonial architecture. The Plaza de Armas is the center of the ancient city, with galleries, carved wooden balconies and ruins of Inca walls. The convent of Santo Domingo, in baroque style, was built on the Temple of the Inca Sun (Qoricancha) and has archaeological remains of Inca stonework.
Machu Picchu: is an Inca citadel located in the heights of the Andes mountains in Peru, above the Urubamba river valley. It was built in the fifteenth century and then abandoned, and is famous for its sophisticated dry stone walls that combine huge blocks without the use of a mortar, fascinating buildings that relate to astronomical alignments and panoramic views. The exact use he had remains a mystery.
This varied journey takes you through diverse areas and offers many highlights in different areas of Peru and Bolivia. From Lima you drive to Ica in the middle of the coastal desert and from there to the protected area of Paracas. A very different area awaits you after a short flight: in the middle of the rainforest, you will discover the flora and fauna of the Amazon, take excursions on foot and by boat and observe animals. In Cusco, the beautiful and historic city, visit the sights and Inca sites. On the way to the fabled Machu Picchu visit the Urubamba Valley with Ollantaytambo and Pisac. An experience is still the trip with the Andean railway from Cusco to Puno. Another highlight: the stay on Lake Titicaca – deep blue lake, snow-capped mountain peaks, colorfully dressed Indians. It goes along Lake Titicaca to the pilgrimage site of Copacabana in Bolivia and then to the Sun Island, where you make short, easy walks at the place of origin of the Inca culture. The return journey is via La Paz, the economic and political center of Bolivia.
