X XXXVI INTERNATIONAL SAFETY AND RESCUE COURSE IN WILD AREAS WFA 2023 CERTIFICATION

The Association of Mountain Guides of Peru “AGMP” will running out in the Quebrada de Llaca (4,430 m.s.n.m.) Cordillera Blanca Huaraz – Peru, the XXXVI International Course of Security and Rescue in Wild Areas with WFA (Wilderness First Aid) Certification; whose purpose is to promote the safe practice of mountaineering, in addition to training participants with appropriate techniques to respond to any emergency and/or accidents typical of mountain activities.

GOALS:

  • Publicize, standardize and update safety and rescue techniques in high mountains, for immediate attention and evacuation.
  • Provide the necessary knowledge to carry out a rescue in high mountains with the minimal equipment required.
  • Achieve the exchange of mountain rescue and first aid experiences in rugged areas and high mountains.

PLACE OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE COURSE:

  • Mountain Tourist Center “Llaca” (4,430 m.s.n.m.) – Cordillera Blanca – Peru (Located to the Northeast of the City of Huaraz, 30 km approx.)

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:

  • All participants must have an insurance policy against accidents mountain or sign a contractual civil liability agreement at the office of the House of Guides – Huaraz.

  • Have the technical equipment and camping required.

  • We recommend a proper acclimatization since the practices will be carried out between 4,500 and 5,500 meters above sea level

REGISTRATION COST:

  • Tourism students from various universities and institutes, National Police, Firefighters, Red Cross, Civil Defense, CENFOTUR, Mountaineering Clubs.
