An unforgettable experience in Peru’s exhilerating Andes Mountain range Cordillera Huayhuash is one of the most beautiful trekking destinations in the world. A 180km (111.8 mi) circuit beginning in the rural community Llámac, head north for ten-days through one of the world’s most spectacular mountain ranges. Continue on the eastern slopes as you make your way through a band of towering snow-capped peaks such as Yerupaja, Siula, Jirishanca, Diablo Mudo and dozens of lakes and alpine passes before finishing your journey on the western side of the Huayhuash. Day 1. Arrival in Lima (in the morning). After lunch city tour of Lima. Hotel.
Day 2. Bus Lima-Huaraz.
Day 3. Transfer Huaraz – Llamac. Hike to Pocpa, camp in Pocpa.
Day 4. Trekking with donkeys Pocpa – Cuartelhuain.
Day 5. Trekking Cuartelhuain – Mitucocha.
Day 6. Trekking Mitucocha – Carhuacocha.
Day 7. Rest day in Carhuacocha, hike to the Siula glacier.
Day 8. Trekking Carhuacocha – Huayhuash.
Day 9. Trekking Huayhuash – Viconga.
Day 10. Trekking Viconga – Huayllapa.
Day 11. Rest day in Huayllapa, walk to the Sarapococha or Jurau lagoon.
Day 12. Trekking Huayllapa – Diablo Mudo. Camp.
Day 13. Trekking Diablo Mudo – Jahuacocha.
Day 14. Trekking Jaguacocha – Pocpa. Transfer to Huaraz.
Day 15. Transfer Huaraz – Lima. Hotel in Lima.
Day 16. Transfer to the airport and flight to Cuzco. Afternoon city tour.
Day 17. Sacred Valley – Ollantaytambo.
Day 18. Train Ollanta – MAPI. Visit to the archaeological site.
Day 19. Free morning at MAPI. Afternoon train to Cuzco.
Day 20. Flight Cuzco – Lima. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 21. Transfer out.
